‘The Girls Next Door’: Where Are Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt And Kendra Wilkinson Now?
Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson once were the stars of the highly successful E network reality-television series “The Girls Next Door.” Each week, viewers would watch as the trio lived their seemingly fantastical lives at the Playboy Mansion in front of the cameras alongside their much older beau, Playboy Enterprises Inc. founder Hugh Hefner. It’s been six years since the original show wrapped -- although the network went on to launch a reboot starring three of Hefner’s new girlfriends, his current wife Crystal Hefner and the twins Karissa Shannon and Kristina Shannon. In recognition of the release of Holly’s new memoir, let’s take a look at where the original girls are today.
Holly Madison
Holly’s first book is a tell-all, titled “Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny.” Despite being Hefner’s so-called No. 1 girlfriend for several years on and off the show, Holly, 35, bashes the magazine founder in her memoir.
In excerpts of her book obtained by Us Weekly, Holly reveals Hefner offered her drugs she describes as “thigh openers” and claims he allegedly pitted the girls against each other for sport. According to Holly, who parted ways with Hefner, now 89, in 2008, she no longer has any allegiance to him.
“I learned Hef was the manipulator and that he pitted us against one another,” Holly writes. “I realized I wasn’t treated well. I’m done being afraid of people. I don’t have any loyalty to Hef. I haven’t talked to him in four years, so there’s no reason to reach out now. Besides, it’s the truth.”
While Holly may no longer be on the best of terms with Hefner, her personal life is thriving. The reality-TV star, who had her own series, “Holly’s World,” on E from 2009 to 2011, is married with a baby. She welcomed daughter Rainbow with now-husband Pasquale Rotella in March 2013. The couple tied the knot six month later in Disneyland.
As for her professional life, she will next appear in the made-for-TV movie “Sharnado 3: Oh Hell No!”
Bridget Marquardt
Fans of “The Girls Next Door” will be happy to know Bridget, who was best known for her love of animals, holidays and pure fun, appears to be relatively the same. While she is not in the public eye as much as her former co-stars, Bridget, 41, still has a presence on social media.
Bridget’s latest business venture is in fashion. When she’s not busy working on her TV projects, she creates and sells military-themed aprons on her Etsy page.
After the conclusion of her stint on “The Girls Next Door,” Bridget went on to star in 17 episodes of her own TLC series, “Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches.” According to her IMDb profile, she later produced a reality film, “Just Add Bridget.” The movie reportedly followed Bridget and her boyfriend, Nick Carpenter, on their “daily adventures.”
Kendra Wilkinson
Kendra may have been Hefner’s No. 3 girlfriend on the series, but she has arguably been the busiest since the show concluded. Kendra has released two memoirs since then and starred in several reality-TV programs. She will next appear on the Food Network’s “Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition” in the fall.
But not everything in Kendra’s life has been pleasant. In 2014, reports surfaced that her husband, former NFL star Hank Baskett, had an affair with transgender model Ava Sabrina London. After airing their martial issues on the reality-TV series “Kendra On Top,” the couple went on to star on “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars” to work on their relationship.
They are still married. The couple welcomed their son Hank Randall Baskett IV in December 2009 and their daughter Alijah Mary Baskett in May 2014.
“Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny” hits stores June 23.
