How will Ray (Alex Karpovsky) react when he finds out that Marnie (Allison Williams) cheated on him with Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) in “Girls” Season 6? HBO

“Girls” Season 6, episode 2 kicked off with Marnie (Allison Williams) and Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) hooking up.

In “Hostage Situation,” an emotional Marnie has sex with Desi. She worries about the fact that she’s cheating on Ray (Alex Karpovsky), but she goes through with it anyway when Desi struggles to please himself. Marnie tells Hannah (Lena Dunham) what happened, and the latter judges her secretly for cheating on Ray. Not that this isn’t something that Hannah has never done to her ex before. Hannah tells Elijah (Andrew Rannells) what’s been going on with Marnie, and he is shocked.

Marnie later invites Hannah to join her and Desi to an out of town trip. She agrees, right before she realizes how awkward it would be for her to be third-wheeling them. When they arrive at their destination, all Marnie and Desi do is hook up and panic. A confused Marnie does not understand what is going on at first, until she opens Desi’s luggage and sees that he has an entire jar filled with OxyContin. Desi is upset with Marnie for looking into his luggage, but the latter is more upset over his addiction.

She soon discovers that Desi takes 20 pills a day and realizes that this could be the reason why he’s fidgety and panicky all the time. Desi throws a fit outside the cabin, and Hannah is unhappy that he’s constantly acting out. Back in the city, Elijah hangs out with Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) and lets slip the secret information Hannah shared with him about Marnie and Desi.

In the next episode, it is possible that Shoshanna will confront Marnie about hooking up with Desi and cheating on Ray. There are speculations that she will also be the one to tell the latter the truth.

“Girls” Season 6 airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EST on HBO.
