Billy Bob Thornton will be back on last time as the layer Billy McBride in “Goliath” Season 4. The show was renewed for a final season recently, and the next case will be about a “global crisis.”

With the ending in Season 3, there was some doubt about whether the TV series will return. The show was renewed for one last season, and executive producer Lawrence Trilling said in a statement that he is “thrilled” to tell one last story of Billy McBride, TV Line reported. The producer also teased that they have something exciting planned as they bid farewell.

“Our latest case tackles a timely global crisis that impacts an entire generation, and we will be adding some exceptional talent to our already amazing cast,” Trilling said in a statement.

Trilling expressed his gratitude to Amazon for the support. He added that he was “blessed” to have worked with the “stellar cast and crew” of the show.

“Goliath” Season 4 will mark the end of another original TV series by Amazon Studios that was developed under the leadership of Roy Price. Most of the other shows that were created under Price have either ended already or airing their final seasons, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Trilling is the third showrunner of “Goliath.” David E. Kelly created the show initially, and it was later taken over by Clyde Phillips. Kelly previously said that he doesn’t watch the TV series anymore.

“Billy's not done yet,” the official Twitter page of the TV series announced. The third season of the popular show was released on Oct. 4th and it is currently available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

The producers haven’t announced an exact release date for “Goliath” Season 4, but Vernon Sanders, co-head of television at Amazon Studios, confirmed that the fans across the globe will be able to watch the last season by next year.
