‘Good Witch’ Season 5, Episode 8 Spoilers: Exclusive Clip, Synopsis, Trailer, Cast

There are only three episodes left of Season 5 of Hallmark Channel’s “Good Witch,” but that just means Goodies should expect a lot more drama to unfold, mysteries to be solved and questions to be raised over the next few weeks, starting with tonight’s episode 8, titled “The Treasure.”

The title of the episode alone should give fans a little bit of a hint as to the excitement level of Sunday’s new broadcast, but if that’s not enough to get everyone pumped for it, then perhaps International Business Times’ exclusive clip will do the trick.

In the video (watch above), Grace (Bailee Madison) spends some more time with Luke (Dale Whibley) after their date last episode, only to discover that he’s been hiding something major from her.

“So, why are you really going to my school,” she asks him casually.

“Remember when I told you my aunt pays my tuition,” he asks in response, before adding, “My aunt is Dottie Davenport.”

Connecting the dots, Grace simply replies, “Donovan Davenport’s mother.”

Luke continues explaining, “She’s worried about the Merriwick-Davenport curse. She sent me to find out everything I could about Abigail.”

Confused and upset, Grace asks, “Wait, you were spying on my cousin? Is that why you went out with me?”

Even though he says that’s not why he went on a date with her, she doesn’t believe him, and neither does Martha (Catherine Disher), who walks in on their conversation.

When Grace runs away from Luke, accidentally knocking Martha off balance, that’s when things get even more interesting. Martha ends up hitting the wall, revealing a secret cupboard housing the long-lost original town charter.

According to the Season 5, episode 8 synopsis, there’s more to the scroll than what’s in the clip, as it also houses a hidden treasure map. Once word gets out about it, “Vincent [Gianpaolo Venuta] heads out in search of the treasure, leading to an unexpected competition with another treasure seeker.”

Also in the episode, which was directed by Craig David Wallace and written by Cole Bastedo, “Abigail continues to spar with [Dotty, played by Paula Boudreau,] until a crisis makes her reassess her relationship with Donovan [Marc Bendavid].”

Plus, the synopsis also reveals that “Cassie [Catherine Bell] encourages Sam [James Denton] to keep his eyes open for mysteries to unlock, [and] Adam [Scott Cavalheiro] helps Stephanie [Kylee Evans] with the launch of her food truck.”
