Goodbye Amy Winehouse: We Will Miss You (PHOTOS)
Three days after being found dead, the lifeless body of the Grammy award-winning singer, Amy Winehouse was laid to rest on Tuesday morning.
Family, friends and fans gathered to show respect to Winehouse at a private funeral at the Edgwarebury Cemetery, London. The service was conducted by Rabbi Frank Hellner, emeritus rabbi at Finchley Progressive Synagogue. The first service included English prayer and Hebrew, and ended with a rendition of Carole King's So Far Away (Amy's favorite song).
Early on July 25, Kelly Michelle Lee Osbourne had flown from Los Angeles to UK. She arrived at the Heathrow airport with tears in her eyes and was in London to say goodbye to her best friend, Amy Winehouse. Kelly had a beehive hair and she covered her eyes with black cat-eye sunglasses.
"I can't even breath right my now. I'm crying so hard. I just lost one of my best friends. I love you forever Amy and will never forget the real you!" Osbourne tweeted.
"i miss my friend! im going to be off twitter for a while thank you for all your support! #pray4amy" she tweeted.
During her life time, Winehouse battled with alcohols and drugs. Mitch Winehouse told the mourners that Amy had been off drugs for three years and she tried hard to get off alcohol.
"Our family has been left bereft by the loss of Amy, a wonderful daughter, sister, and niece. She leaves a gaping hole in our lives," said Winehouse’s family in a statement. "We are coming together to remember her and we would appreciate some privacy and space at this terrible time.”
Meanwhile, Billboard has predicted that Winehouse's 5 Grammy award-winning album Back to Black, which has jumped to the top in the iTunes chart in U.S, will re-enter on the Billboard 200 albums chart and witness a brisk sale.
