Google Gears Up For TV, Windows Goes Back To Basics [VIDEO]
Welcome to "60 Sec Tech," one minute on what you need to know in technology.
Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) is branching out again. Its newest creation, the Nexus TV, will reportedly be released next year. It won’t be able to stream live TV, but it’s been reported that the system will sport an integrated camera and motion sensor. If so, Nexus TV could be competition for more than just Apple TV.
Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) could be bringing back the classic start screen in the next version of Windows. Users have complained that the Windows 8.1 user interface is difficult to navigate, longing for the home screen they were used to. Essentially, Windows 9 would likely resemble the appearance of Windows 7.
Finally, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL)has filed patents for a curved touch screen, sparking rumors of a curved iPhone or an iWatch. The company has no public plans for a curved iPhone, but LG and Samsung already have curved smartphones on the market.
