Google Nexus 5X Price Slashed Permanently On Google Store; Amazon, Best Buy To Follow?
The price of the Google Nexus 5X has been slashed on Google Store. It is now available with a discount of $30.
It has been revealed through an official tweet from Google Store that price of the LG Nexus 5X’s base model with 16 GB storage has been slashed to $349 from its initial price of $379. The tweet has also revealed that the price of the 32 GB model has also been reduced to $399 from its original price of $429.
According to Phone Arena, the recent price cut on Google Nexus 5X seems to be permanent and not like the deals that were available during Black Friday, Cyber Monday or vacation season. As of this writing, there is no official confirmation on whether it is a permanent discount. However, if it happens to be a permanent one, even other retailers like Amazon and Best Buy may also reduce the Google Nexus 5X price.
In 2015, Google had released two Nexus smartphones, one manufactured by LG and the other one built by Huawei. The Google Nexus 6P by Huawei is a successor model of the Motorola Nexus 6 smartphone from 2014. The Google Nexus 5X by LG is a successor of the LG Nexus 5 from 2013.
Since the original LG Nexus is one of the bestselling Nexus smartphones ever, its successor was launched in 2015. The LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P arrived with Android 6.0 Marshmallow preinstalled.
The Google Nexus 5X is not a flagship smartphone but it does offer good specs and features at a competitive price. It comes with 5.2-inch full HD screen, a Snapdragon 808 chipset, 2 GB of RAM, 12.3-megapixel camera with dual-Led flash, 5-megapixel selfie shooter, and 2700 mAh battery.
Currently, there is no discount available on the price of Google Nexus 6P. It is available with a starting cost of $499 for the base model. However, the 2014 Nexus 6 is currently available with a massive discount of $400. The retailer giant has listed it for $249.
