Google Nexus 6 Now Available For $299 As Nexus 2015 Release Date Nears
As the highly anticipated Sept. 29 released date of the Google Nexus 2015 is around the corner, the search engine giant is now trying to clear the inventory of the Google Nexus 6 of 2014. Amazon and Best Buy have already reduced the price of the smartphone to $349 while the 32 GB Nexus 6 is listed for only $299 on eBay.
The Cloud White variant of the Google Nexus 6 with model number XT1103 with 32 GB storage is listed for $299 on eBay. The unlocked handset is available with free shipping service. The Nexus 6 comes with a huge Quad HD display of 5.96 inches and it is powered by Snapdragon 805 chipset and 3 GB of RAM.
It features a rear camera of 13-megapixel that is enabled with optical image stabilization and the front features a 2-megapixel camera. It is powered by 3,220 mAh battery.
Since Google has sent invitations to the media for the upcoming unveil event on Sept. 29, rumors are rife that new Google Nexus 2015 smartphones, the LG Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus 6P will be unveiled on that day running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The LG Nexus 5X is said to be a refreshed edition of the well-acclaimed LG Nexus 5 from 2013.
The Huawei Nexus 6P is speculated as the successor model for the Google Nexus 6 from 2014. The preorders of both the upcoming Nexus smartphones are expected to begin from Oct. 13.
The Motorola Nexus 6 was criticized for its humungous display and its initial price of $649. However, the successor model, the Huawei Nexus 6P is rumored to sport a 5.5-inch Quad HD display.
The handset is likely to be powered by the powerful Snapdragon 810 chipset and 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Since the Chinese brand is known for releasing high-end smartphones with lower pricing, the upcoming Nexus 6P is expected to launch with cheaper price tag, Phone Arena reported.
