'Gotham' Season 1 Spoilers: Episode 2 Synopsis Released Online; What Will Happen In 'Selina Kyle'? [PHOTOS & VIDEO]
"Gotham" kicked off with a violent premiere on Monday night, and the show will only be bringing in more bad guys as the season progresses. Episode 2 of the Fox drama will be titled “Selina Kyle,” and focus on the future Catwoman.
The Sept. 29 episode will find Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Bullock (Donal Logue) investigating a child trafficking ring in Gotham. The traffickers seem to be focusing on homeless street kids like Selina Kyle (Carmen Bicondova). As audiences saw in the pilot, Selina is a low level criminal herself. She pickpockets people and steals what she needs. Her cat-like reflexes could help her save herself, but she might still need Gordon and Bullock to save the day.
Gordon will have to deal with whoever is running the trafficking. Falcone established that low level crime doesn’t concern him, but it would seem like Falcone (John Doman) would have to know about something this serious. This might be a crime that Gordon has to let go of if he wants to let the GCPD think he is as corrupt as they are.
Of course, the criminals of Gotham will know that Gordon isn’t corrupt when they realize he never killed Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor). The Penguin will try to return to Gotham City in episode 2, ignoring Gordon’s warning to never come back. Oswald ended up in the countryside after Gordon pushed him into the water, but on his way back to the city, he’ll be leaving plenty of victims. Before he gets back to Gotham, it looks like he’ll be stopping by his mother’s house. (Check out Carol Kane as Gertrud Kapelput in the promo photos below.)
Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) will also appear in the episode. Bruce’s idea of “conquering fear” will apparently continue. In the trailer for "Gotham" Season 1 episode 2, Bruce is seen putting his hand over a flame. When Gordon tries to tell him that he is hurting himself, Bruce says it’s a test.
