‘Grace And Frankie’ Season 4 Renewed; Lisa Kudrow Cast In Recurring Role As Sheree

“Grace and Frankie” has just been renewed by Netflix for a fourth season, and the streaming site also surprised fans with a new casting.

According to TV Line, “Friends” alum Lisa Kudrow will be joining Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin in multiple episodes for the upcoming season. Kudrow will be playing the role of Grace’s (Fonda) longtime manicurist, Sheree. The latter will be maneuvering her way into Grace’s inner circle, and this will leave Frankie (Tomlin) frustrated. The two female characters are so used to just relying on each other, and Sheree’s presence could destroy their bond.

Kudrow’s casting may have been due to the fact that the creator of “Grace and Frankie” is the same person who created “Friends.” Marta Kauffman has worked with Kudrow, and the former was also responsible for making the latter a household name in the ‘90s. Other than her role as Sheree, Kudrow’s most recent projects include lending her voice to “Boss Baby” and starring in HBO’s “The Comeback” and Showtime’s “Web Therapy.”

Meanwhile, the production for “Grace and Frankie” Season 4 has already started, but it is still unclear which episodes Sheree will be featured in. A photo of Fonda, Tomlin and Kudrow talking and sitting by the pool also confirmed the latter’s casting.

The 13 upcoming episodes of “Grace and Frankie” Season 4 are expected to be released on Netflix sometime next year. There are speculations that the new seasons will stream around March, since “Grace and Frankie” Season 3 was released on March 24. The series also stars Martin Sheen as Grace’s ex-husband Robert, Sam Waterson as Frankie’s ex-husband Sol, Brooklyn Decker as Mallory, June Diane Raphael as Brianna, Ethan Embry as Coyote and more.
