Go ahead, try out some of these themed alcoholic drinks while watching the Alicia Keys-hosted 2019 Grammys on CBS tonight.
The Golden Happy Hour
Ingredients:
- 2.5 oz Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc
- 1 oz SVEDKA Vanilla
- 1 tsp honey syrup (2:1 honey:water, mixed well)
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 2 tsp edible gold flake
Kacey Musgraves is up for a few awards this year, including the big one, Album of the Year, for her project, “Golden Hour.” Cheer her on with this drink that’s essentially her album in cocktail form. Simply combine all the liquid ingredients, 1 tsp of gold flakes and ice in a mixing glass. Strain it all into a fresh glass with a large ice cube, and sprinkle in the last of the gold.
Invasion of Prosecco
Ingredients:
- 4 parts chilled Ruffino Prosecco
- 1 part pear juice
- 1 strip of blood orange peel
- 1 strip of lemon peel
Even Cardi B wouldn’t be able to stop herself from saying, “I Like It,” after sipping on this. This is the perfect way to celebrate her multiple nominations, including Album of the Year for “Invasion of Privacy.”
Put the lemon and orange peels at the bottom of a champagne flute before adding in the pear nectar until the glass is one-third full. Finish it off with the Ruffino Prosecco and extra peels for garnish, and enjoy!
D’USSE That’s My Jam
Ingredients:
- 2 oz D’USSE Cognac
- 1 bar spoon apricot jam
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 1/2 oz pineapple shrub
- 1 thyme sprig
- Sparkling soda
- Thyme Sprig
This cocktail recipe from D’USSE Cognac will have you feeling like you were there in person at their Los Angeles Grammys event at Beauty & Essex in the Dream Hotel on Thursday. The Re-Mixer party was hosted by Grammy Award-winning producer 9th Wonder, and now you can recreate that Grammys party vibe with this drink.
Start off by muddling the thyme and adding it to a shaker, along with the lemon juice and pineapple shrub. Throw in the apricot jam and D’USSE, as well, before shaking it and straining it into an ice-filled glass. Top it off with a thyme sprig as a garnish.
Panther Paloma
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Casa Noble Crystal Tequila
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 oz grapefruit juice
- 0.5 oz agave nectar
- Sparkling water
- Grapefruit wedge
Not only was “Black Panther” the biggest movie of 2018, but its soundtrack was also a major success. It’s even up for Album of the Year at this year’s Grammy Awards, which means it needs a drink in its honor, as well. And here is that drink.
Fill a shaker with ice, Casa Noble, grapefruit juice, lime juice and agave nectar, and shake until it’s nice and chilled. Strain the concoction into a glass with ice, add a little sparkling water, and swirl it all together.
Ketel One Dutch 75
Ingredients:
- 1.25 oz Ketel One Family-Made Vodka
- 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 oz simple syrup
- 0.75 oz Champagne or sparkling wine
With this fancy-looking (and tasting) drink, you’ll feel like you’re a Grammy-nominated artist tonight. Just combine the Ketel One with lemon juice and simple syrup in a mixing glass, and you’re almost there. Shake it with ice, and then strain it into a flute. Top it off with either champagne or sparkling wine, and garnish with a lemon slice.
In My Blood Julep
Ingredients:
- 2 parts SVEDKA Raspberry
- ½ part simple syrup
- Splash of club soda
- 9 mint leaves
You’ll want to get this Shawn Mendes-inspired cocktail in your bloodstream as soon as possible. It’s easy. All you have to do is lightly muddle the mint in a glass, and then add the SVEDKA Raspberry and simple syrup. Fill the rest of the glass up with crushed ice, garnish with mint or raspberries, and you’re ready to go.
