- The said movie would be released ahead of "GTA 6"
Rockstar Games has not yet said anything about “Grand Theft Auto 6” despite the barrage of leaks and rumors surrounding the next installment in the popular “GTA” franchise but this could be because the gaming studio is reportedly busy focusing on a new medium for its plan to release the “Grand Theft Auto” film.
A new report from WGTC revealed that Rockstar Games is currently working on “Grand Theft Auto” film, which would reportedly release ahead of “GTA 6.” the site claimed that its sources are the same ones who revealed about “Resident Evil 4 Remake” is in development. This same source is also responsible for leaking that Netflix is working on a prequel show of “The Witcher.”
The report also mentioned that the alleged “Grand Theft Auto” movie is in its early stages and would mot likely adopt tot the events in “GTA V.” if this is the case, the upcoming film will most likely bring to life characters like Trevor, Franklin and Michael. Unfortunately, the report did not reveal much more details about the alleged forthcoming movie.
Rockstar Games has not said anything about this rumored “Grand Theft Auto” movie. The gaming studio is also silent about the status of “GTA 6.” Recently, Comicbook reported that Rockstar Games Senior Character Artist Emil Mujanovic might have leaked that Rockstar Games is currently working on a new project as its next entry following the release of “Red Dead Redemption 2.”
Mujanovic reportedly referred to his work at the gaming studio as an unannounced project. The artist allegedly began working on this project in February 2020. Several sites reported about this, triggering speculations about what the unannounced project could be. Some fans quickly assumed that it is “GTA 6” while several others think it could be “Bully 2” or “L.A. Noire 2.”
Mujavonic immediately updated his ArtStation page and removed the term unannounced project. Sadly, there is nothing much from the said page that could give us a clue on what this unannounced project could be about. Recently, one fan asked Rockstar Games on Twitter any updates about “GTA 6.” the Rockstar Games support account said that "there is no news on that topic yet. Please stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official updates."
