Last night’s episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” was pretty calm in Shonda Rhimes-standards -- you know, besides the baby’s belly popping open like a balloon. Now that was intense. But despite that moment, everything else that occurred in “Everything I Try to Do, Nothing Seems to Turn Out Right” was pretty quiet.

We think there’s a reason behind Rhimes’ madness: She’s setting fans up for a blood-boiling, jaw-dropping, couch-gripping Season 10 finale.

“In the Season 10 finale, the doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital bid an emotional farewell to the beloved Cristina Yang. A possible act of terrorism rocks Seattle and causes chaos at the hospital. Meanwhile, Meredith makes a life changing decision and one doctor receives shocking news.”

OK, let’s break it down because we’re still confused as to what will happen when the finale airs Thursday, May 15, at 9 p.m. EDT. According to the synopsis, Mer is going to make a “life changing decision.” This must have something to do with the opportunity Derek presented at the end of episode 23, right? He informed Meredith that a job in D.C. was offered to him – and position for her, as well! He pleads that they should be taking the “next step,” like Cristina.

“The thing about the bold moves? -- They’re terrifying,” Meredith said, adding that is what also makes them so exciting.

Will she be leaving Grey Sloan, too? We’d say yes but from a sneak peek of the Season 10 finale it doesn’t look like anyone will be leaving the hospital – not even Cristina. The sassy doctor tells Owen that she refuses to say goodbye to him just yet because she’ll see him when she gets to the hospital later that afternoon.

“We are not having a big goodbye here. We have a big goodbye here and then I see you there then I’ll feel all uhh, bye again,” she quipped.

That means Cristina will be in the hospital when terror strikes Seattle and we doubt she’d turn her back on patients for her new job. She’s just not that kinda gal! Do you think Cristina will ever get to leave Grey Sloan? Some fans have speculated she gets killed off from the ABC drama and we can’t entirely rule that theory off considering this is a Rhimes series we’re talking about! No one is ever safe. Especially if you’re a main character about to leave “Grey’s” for good.
