‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 12 Spoilers: 5 Things To Know Before Emotional May 19 Finale

All the drama, heartache and supply room sex scenes have been leading up to this episode, “Grey’s Anatomy” fans: the Season 12 finale of the hit ABC series. But before episode 24, titled “Family Affairs,” hits our small screens Thursday night, we’re rounding up all the chaos that is set to go down in the final installment of the season. And brace yourselves, viewers, because things are going to take a pretty intense turn.

Owen and Amelia are getting married — or are they? In episode 23, Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) popped the question of a lifetime: a wedding proposal. Owen (Kevin McKidd) gleefully accepted Amelia’s offer, and it looks as if the two will be getting hitched in the Season 12 finale … that is, if Amelia’s feet aren’t too cold to take her down the aisle.

A promo video shows the blushing bride experiencing a little bit of doubt as she locks herself in Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) bathroom. Owen arrives to the scene hoping to calm the nerves of his bride-to-be, but it seems like Amelia just may be too upset to unlock the door and say “I do.”

There’s a time jump. Perhaps one of the reasons Amelia is getting cold feet is because she and Owen are moving rather quickly. Although it may seem like the doctors have broken the record for world’s shortest engagement, there was a time jump between episode 23 and 24, fast-forwarding to the the couple’s wedding day.

Owelia gets a wedding crasher. The time jump not only skipped to the day of Owen and Amelia’s wedding, it also accelerated April’s (Sarah Drew) pregnancy, resulting in her water breaking. That means April may be a little too busy delivering to continue her role as Owen’s best "man."

Ben’s big moment. The synopsis for episode 24 reveals that Ben (Jason George) will “leap into action to help a friend” Thursday night. And a promo video for the upcoming installment unveils that the friend Ben is helping will be none other than April, who goes into labor on Owen’s big day. Although Ben has been suspended from the hospital for his reckless practice, we’re theorizing that his quick thinking and risqué surgical tactics could result in him slipping back into his scrubs after helping April deliver her baby.

Jo’s big secret is revealed. Jo (Camilla Luddington) will unveil a secret she’s been keeping from Alex (Justin Chambers) in the Season 12 finale — and we think it has something to do with why she rejected Alex’s marriage proposal. Is it possible Jo might already be married? Or is there something darker Jo is hiding as to why she can't marry her longtime boyfriend.
