“Grey’s Anatomy” fans, be warned! According to Ellen Pompeo, who stars in the ABC medical drama as Meredith, trouble will lie ahead for one of your favorite Grey Sloan surgeons — Arizona (Jessica Capshaw).

But will the upcoming, Season 12 drama involve a new love interest? Fans are questioning when the blonde-haired doctor will dip her toes back into the dating pool after Shonda Rhimes, creator of the long-running series, teased a fresh love storyline for Arizona. “And some pretty exciting ones, too,” she explained to TVLine in August about a future romance for Callie’s (Sara Ramirez) ex.

But as the 24-episode season winds down, viewers are growing more impatient to see Arizona lock lips with someone new. However, according to a synopsis for a forthcoming installment, it looks like Arizona will be too busy dealing with her former flame to go on candlelit dinner dates with fellow Seattle singles.

Arizona will make a decision regarding her and Callie’s daughter in a forthcoming episode that will “affect their relationship forever.” But that event will take place before Arizona’s big episode.

Pomepo revealed on Twitter that Capshaw’s character will “rip your hearts out” in episode 22 of the Season 12 series. “That’s all I’m going to say,” she added.
