‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 13 Will Definitely Feature These Returning Actors
Phew! “Grey’s Anatomy” fans can breathe easy now heading into Season 13 of the ABC medical drama. Although Sara Ramirez confirmed in May that she would not be returning, many other familiar faces are definitely locked in for new episodes.
Deadline reported on Friday that Justin Chambers, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr. and Kevin McKidd all signed new contracts to stay on board the Shonda Rhimes series for Season 13. Star Ellen Pompeo signed her new contract keeping her on the series earlier this month. This is good news for “Grey’s Anatomy” fans who want to see some storylines from Season 12 completed.
Viewers will remember that Alex (Justin Chambers) and Jo (Camilla Luddington) faced a huge roadblock in their relationship when Jo refused to accept Alex’s engagement ring. While she still wanted to be in a relationship with him, and even start a family, she just couldn’t marry him. But her decision didn’t have anything to do with Alex. The truth is that she was formerly in an abusive marriage, and never filed the divorce paperwork out of fear of seeing her estranged husband again.
Season 12 also saw Bailey (Chandra Wilson) attempting to patch up her marriage with Ben (Jason George) after being forced to suspend him. And who can forget about Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) and Owen’s (Kevin McKidd) wedding! The two almost didn’t walk down the aisle. But now that they are husband and wife, expect them to continue to push forward with their relationship … which might mean a baby in the near future!
“Grey’s Anatomy” Season 13 premieres on ABC in the fall.
