‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star Jesse Williams Granted Overnight Visits With His Children
Jesse Williams has been granted by the court overnight visitations with his two children, Sadie, 3, and Maceo, 2.
In the court documents obtained by People, it has been revealed that Williams will have custody of his minor children on the first, third and fourth weekends of each month from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31. The “Grey’s Anatomy” actor has also been granted custody of his kids up to two times per week after they get out of school and until 6:15 p.m.
The court also awarded Williams with additional custody of twice each month on the Friday immediately preceding his normal weekend custodial duties. This will give the actor two consecutive overnights with his kids.
Unfortunately, this year, Williams can’t spend time with his children on Thanksgiving because it won’t fall on the dates given to him by the court. But his custody will change starting 2017 so that he could also spend time with Sadie and Maceo during the holidays.
In August, Williams slammed his ex-wife, Aryn Drake Lee, for saying that their two kids suffered from emotional trauma after they saw him with his girlfriend, Minka Kelly. Williams released a statement through his lawyer and denied that he’s not doing his best to be a good father to his kids.
“Jesse has been working tirelessly to maintain his bond with their children and it is important to note that the dramatizations made in Aryn’s declaration are a one-sided account with a significant goal in mind. The judge is fully informed on both sides of the story and will be making the final decision,” his lawyer said.
Lee also criticized the actor for his bad temper and claimed that she heard him threaten another person during a road rage accident.
In June, Williams asked the court to grant him joint physical custody of their kids because Lee refused to give him time with them. This week, the joint physical custody was finally granted to the actor.
