The COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdowns, to stem the spread of the virus, have forced people across the world to cut their own hair. Several tutorial videos have come up across social media that show the tips and tricks to evenly cut hair.

Among the people who are gaining inspiration from the internet is singer Grimes, who has given a haircut to her and Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s 8-month-old baby X AE A-Xii. In her Instagram story, Grimes shared photos of herself giving the baby boy a haircut, which she said was inspired by the series "The Last Kingdom" on Netflix.

In one of the photos, the baby is seen sitting in a bathtub while Grimes is leaning over the tub to give him a haircut.

Another photo showed the final result of the haircut, with the singer writing: “not sure this haircut went well, but he’s a Viking now”. In the last photo in which Grimes covered the baby’s face with a panda emoji, the singer revealed the haircut was inspired by "The Last Kingdom," which she termed a “masterpiece.”

Grimes had revealed in a Bloomberg interview that she calls her son "Little X." She had earlier shared a photo of the baby playing with a space-themed children's book.

Last year, Musk had shared a photo of the baby with a caption in German. It translated to: “The baby cannot yet use a spoon.”

Grimes and Musk welcomed the baby boy in May 2020 and announced the news on Twitter. In the first photo of the baby that Musk shared on Twitter, he added a tattoo filter. He also tweeted, "Never too young for some ink haha."

In an interview with The New York Times in July last year, Musk had said Grimes has a much bigger role than him at the moment.

"When the kid gets older, there will be more of a role for me. I think just doing what I’ve done with my other kids."
