  • The gaming studio is preparing to release "GTA 5: Expanded and Enhanced Edition"

A supposed clue pointing to the location of the highly anticipated title "Grand Theft Auto 6" has been reportedly unearthed in "Grand Theft Auto 5."

Rockstar Games is notorious for planting clues about its projects or future releases on its current games. In the absence of an official confirmation that "GTA 6" is in development, fans resort to scavenging in some games, hoping to discover something that would connect to the much-awaited game.

One of the recent finds that some fans believe is related to the upcoming title was shared by Twitter user NEWSLEAKSGTAS. A poster in the Life Invaders offices in "GTA 5" reportedly bears the word "Vice," according to the tweet.

Vice City is one of the heavily speculated locations, which many fans believe will be the setting of the next "Grand Theft Auto" installment. It is worth noting, however, that the poster does not explicitly say that Vice City is indeed the location of "GTA 6."

Another Twitter user, who goes by the name LukiHandoko2, pointed out the dates "August 14-October 20." They also spotted the male and female characters in the poster along with a couple of police cars.

The male and female characters could be an allusion to the popular theory that the next "Grand Theft Auto" game would feature male and female protagonists. At this point, however, there is no way fans could verify if this is related to the game.

Despite the hype, it appears that Rockstar Games is not yet ready to confirm the sequel is in development. In fact, the gaming studio is preparing for the release of the next-generation ports of "GTA 5" called "GTA 5: Expanded and Enhanced Edition."

The game is set to release on PS5 on Nov. 11, 2021, and is expected to run at 4K 60 FPS on Sony's new-generation gaming system. The gaming studio is also rumored to develop the remasters of "GTA 3," "GTA: Vice City" and "GTA: San Andreas."

Earlier rumors suggested the "GTA Trilogy Remastered" as fondly referred to by many fans, would be released sometime this year or in the early part of 2022. With this schedule, it looks like "GTA 6" fans will have to wait a little longer for official information related to "GTA 6."
