"Grand Theft Auto V," one of the biggest game titles that Rockstar Games has to offer, may come to Google Stadia, a report said.

Google Stadia gaining access to "GTA V" was suggested by Rockstar Mag, which reports on the activities of Rockstar Games. In its tweet, the French outlet claimed that the Stadia version of the latest release from the "Grand Theft Auto" series will be announced and launched in the coming months.

While it did not provide exact dates for the "GTA V" Stadia version announcement and release, the outlet said it will be coming out roughly at around the same time as the release of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Considering the game platform already has "Red Dead Redemption 2," another big title under Rockstar Games, "GTA V" following suit may not be all that surprising.

It would be best to take this report with a grain of salt, however, as Take-Two Interactive has yet to officially make an announcement tied to this.

However, "GTA V" emerging on Google Stadia makes sense. It has sold more than 130 million units as of May and is one of the country's top-selling video games.

With no word on when "GTA 6" will come out, the current installment remains the game to play, with Rockstar Game developers trying to keep players busy. This can be seen in the constant updates being introduced to "Grand Theft Auto Online."

So far, the closest thing that "GTA" gamers have had to a hint at the release date of "GTA 6" was a recent SEC filing. Take-Two Interactive is believed to be spending roughly $89 million on marketing the long-awaited installment for a 12-month period ending on March 31, 2024.

That investment is considerable since it doubles the budget spent in previous years. Previously, the marketing costs were set for 2023, but Take-Two changed the fiscal year to 2024.

The move has also been likened to the same tactic employed on "Red Dead Redemption 2" before the sequel was officially announced.

With a lot of questions remaining unanswered regarding "GTA 6," most are following what game developers are doing with "GTA V." The recent updates introduced to the game and its availability are seen as lifelines, buying Take-Two Interactive some more time to work on a new "Grand Theft Auto" installment.
