There has been a lot of speculation about whether or not Thor (Chris Hemsworth) will join the team in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.” While some of the cast members have been cryptic about the God of Thunder joining them in a new adventure, Vin Diesel appears to have confirmed the character’s return in a recent interview.
Towards the end of “Avengers: Endgame,” Thor was seen heading off into space with Star Lord (Chris Pratt) and his team. This led to many fans wondering about the future being about the God of Thunder being a part of the team. Pratt previously told IGN that Hemsworth’s character may be a part of the film, but did not confirm it.
Diesel, who will be lending his voice to the character Groot, said in a recent interview with Comic Book that director James Gunn told him about how Thor will be a part of the story in the third instalment. The actor quickly realized that the reveal about Thor’s presence is huge, and said that he probably shouldn’t have said anything on the subject.
Gunn may not have shared the script of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” with the cast yet. Diesel said that he can’t wait for the director to “knock this one out of the park.” The first two films from the franchise have delivered huge numbers at the box office, and the next instalment is also expected to be a hit.
According to Screen Rant, some of the storylines the fans can expect in the next movie include the introduction of Adam Warlock who will be out to seek revenge, the team searching for Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Gamora discovering details about her planet and her parents, and Drax (Dave Bautista) searching for his family.
Filming of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” is yet to begin. The movie will be released in 2021. The producers are yet to announce an exact release date.
