The quarantine is creating some tension between Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, according to reports.

A source told Us Weekly that the celebrity couple is going through a rough patch while living together amid a global health crisis. An insider told the media outlet that they are spending too much of their time together and as a result, they feel suffocated and stressed.

The source also noted that the couple feels stretched to the limit.

“They feel suffocated and stressed. They’re both stretched to the limit,” Us Weekly quoted the source, as saying.

The source also said that the decision to buy a mansion in Los Angeles has backfired completely and made their relationship worse. This is the toughest period for the couple in their relationship, the source added.

“Friends say this move (buying a mansion) has turned into a nightmare. This is the toughest period they have had so far without a doubt,” the source told the publication.

The couple bought a mansion in the Encino area of Los Angeles. Stefani and Shelton bought the property for a whopping price of $13.2 million. The luxury home consists of three floors and has approximately 13,000 square feet of living space, according to Variety.

As far as their relationship is concerned, the source also said that the couple will bounce back because they know how to compromise and have always found ways to work through all the problems.

Meanwhile, the “God’s Country” singer recently admitted that Stefani’s Father’s Day post dedicated to him was “scary” because it forced him to reflect on his role as a parent in the songstress’ boys’ lives.

“It is one thing to be with the kids all the time and be their buddy, but you do have to consider after a while that they start to listen to things that you say,” Shelton said.

The couple celebrated their fourth anniversary in November 2019 and Shelton, on numerous occasions, has said that the four years have been the best of his life.

Shelton and the “Hollaback Girl” hitmaker met on the set of “The Voice” in 2014. That was the time when both of them got separated from their respective partners.
