Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Not Planning Baby Using Surrogate, Despite Rumors
Rumors about Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's baby plans continue to emerge with a recent report claiming the singer was “open” to “having a child via surrogacy.” The latest claim on Hollywood Life came just days after a similar report by Us Weekly was debunked by Gossip Cop.
According to an unreliable source, Stefani has “given surrogacy serious consideration” because of her "age, which is 49," and she wanted to make Shelton’s “fatherhood dreams come true.” However, Gossip Cop cited a representative of the couple saying the couple don’t have a baby surrogate or plans for one right now.
Last week, a source told Us Weekly that Shelton and Stefani were planning on having a baby together via a surrogate.
“They are in the final stages of choosing the woman who will carry their baby. It’s extremely important to Gwen that she give Blake a biological child, and Blake is so excited,” the insider claimed.
This was not the only false rumor about Stefani's having a baby. In October, Star published an article alleging “Hollaback Girl” singer was in the early stages of pregnancy following an “IVF miracle.”
Those close to Shelton and Stefani previously revealed the couple wasn’t in a rush to have kids together.
“Blake and Gwen have decided to put plans to have a baby on hold,” an insider told Us Weekly earlier this year. “Their feeling is if it happens naturally, great. But they’ve decided to not focus on it for the time being.”
Despite rumors about their baby plans and also their wedding, the couple has not addressed any of the claims.
Shelton and Stefani began dating in 2015 after filing for divorce from their respective partners. The duo became close on the sets of "The Voice" and months later confirmed their relationship. While Stefani was the mother to three kids, Kingston, Apollo and Puma, who she shares with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, Shelton has no children of his own. He was married to Miranda Lambert but they ended it in 2015.
