According to Us Weekly, the “I’ll Name the Dogs” singer may become a father in the near future. A source reportedly told the publication Shelton and Stefani are planning on having a baby together via surrogate.

“They are in the final stages of choosing the woman who will carry their baby. It’s extremely important to Gwen that she give Blake a biological child, and Blake is so excited,” the insider shared.

Although Shelton has a great relationship with Stefani’s sons, the source revealed “he wants his own child too.” The couple is reportedly “determined to have a child together,” and believes a surrogate is their best option.

The fact-checking website reportedly reached out to Stefani’s rep, who denied the “Hollaback Girl” singer and her boyfriend are searching for a surrogate to carry their baby.

Earlier this year, Us Weekly claimed the couple was holding off on having a baby and their wedding plans after struggling to conceive. “Blake and Gwen have decided to put plans to have a baby on hold,” a source told the publication at the time.

“Gwen is very traditional and wouldn’t want to be pregnant without being married,” the insider added.

While Shelton and Stefani have not been shy about sharing their love for one another across social media, the stars have yet to comment on the latest reports regarding their baby news.
