Although Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been dating for a few years, the No Doubt singer is not expecting to receive an engagement ring when the couple celebrates their third anniversary together.

The stars began dating in 2015 following Stefani’s divorce from husband Gavin Rossdale and Shelton’s split from wife Miranda Lambert. The two formed a friendship while appearing on the judges’ panel of the NBC series “The Voice,” and it eventually blossomed into a romance.

While the couple seems to already have a solid relationship, Hollywood Life shared an article claiming Stefani is hoping Shelton will propose to her during their three-year anniversary in November. “Gwen would still love to get married to Blake. She is hoping this anniversary or holiday season, Blake surprises her with a ring,” a “source” told the website.

The supposed confidant went on to suggest that Stefani believes an engagement ring would be the “best Christmas present” Shelton could give her.

“While she is happy with the way things are, she also thinks about getting married all the time. She tries not to obsesses about it, wants to be surprised when he does propose, and prays it is only a matter of time before he asks.”

When Gossip Cop reached out to Stefani’s camp to inquire about the article published by Hollywood Life, a spokesperson for the “Hollaback Girl” singer revealed they don’t acknowledge the blog that often publishes inaccurate stories. “I pretend they don’t exist,” the rep said.

After some further digging, the fact-checking website also learned no one “close” to Stefani has been sharing any details with HL about an engagement.

Meanwhile, Shelton previously told People he was content with the way his life was going and was hopeful the joyful phase would last. “I wouldn’t change one thing about my life right now,” he explained.

“I’m happy. Sometimes happiness can seem like fleeting moments, but this one has been staying in the same lane for a long time. It’s just amazing.”

Even though Shelton and Stefani appear happy in their relationship, there is no confirmation the singers will become engaged while celebrating their anniversary or the holiday season.
