Gwen Stefani Gives A Closer Look At Engagement Ring As Blake Shelton Accepts People’s Choice Award

Gwen Stefani shared a series of videos taken from inside her car that gave a closer look at her engagement ring while her fiancé Blake Shelton accepted his newest award.

Stefani accompanied Shelton on Sunday at the 2020 People's Choice Awards. However, she didn't get inside the venue and opted to just wait for Shelton in the car while he accepted his Top Country Artist award.

While in the vehicle, Stefani shared a series of videos on social media. In one clip, she puts her hand to her face revealing the giant diamond bling she received from Shelton when he proposed to her last month. The country singer thought about the details of the ring because he had it custom-made for Stefani, Us Weekly reported.

Ajay Anand, founder and CEO of the diamond search engine Rare Carat, emailed Insider his estimate of Stefani's massive diamond ring. According to him, the bling is a "Rich Girl" ring that could have cost half a million.

"We're looking at a gorgeous eight-carat, radiant-shape diamond with trapezoid sides — an Art Deco look," he explained to Insider in his email. "We're talking $500,000 in all, as the center stone is an icy white D-to-F color diamond."

Diamonds under the category between D and F on the color scale tend to be coloreless and more expensive compared to other stones that rank lower, according to Rare Carat.

Kathryn Money of Brilliant Earth gave the same estimate when asked about Stefani's engagement ring. She believes that it is worth at least $500,000.

"Depending on the quality and specific characteristics of center stone, we estimate the cost of the ring to be around $500,000+," she told Page Six.

Meanwhile, Katie Zimmerman, CMO at Blue Nile, was convinced that the ring Shelton gave to Stefani could cost more.

"Gwen’s massive new bling appears to be a round or oval cut, set in a solitaire or simple pavé platinum setting," Zimmerman explained.

"With the center stone nearly reaching Gwen’s middle knuckle, I estimate the total weight of her engagement ring to be approximately 8-10 carats at a value of $700,000-$800,000, depending on the color and clarity of the diamonds.”

Stefani's three boys with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale — Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 6, are supportive of their mom's relationship with Shelton. In fact, they were involved in the proposal.
