Gwen Stefani Rocks Totally Different Look, Flaunts New Hairstyle On ‘The Voice’ [PHOTO]
On the most recent episode of “The Voice,” Gwen Stefani sat in her chair looking different. The judge ditched her usually long blonde hair for a short bob and bangs.
The new-look was done by hairstylist Robert Vetica who used Leonor Greyl products and Harry Josh Pro Tools, reports Hollywood Life.
The outlet also noted that this switch up isn’t something we should get used to as her look as likely the work of a wig. Actress Debra Messing seemingly exposed the singer by commenting “I want that wig!!!!” on Vetica’s Instagram picture of Stefani. Stefani was seen the next day with her old hairstyle back.
So, are bangs the newest haircut trend? “Bangs go in and out of style, but, right now for makeup looks — especially those surrounding the red carpet — the focus is on the eyes and bangs help frame and accentuate this feature” celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson tells Us.
"I think a softer bang is on-trend right now. The ideal look offers a soft sexiness and overall fun and flirty vibe," he added.
Actors Sandra Oh and Constance Wu were both photographed at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards sporting bangs (Oh’s hair was cut by Gibson). Country singer Kasey Musgraves also had bangs at her Amazon Prime Christmas show launch party on Tuesday.
While it might be the latest trend for the red carpet, this isn’t the first time Stefani has rocked bangs. She also had them in 1996, during her days in the band “No Doubt,” according to Pop Sugar.
We also haven’t forgotten about the days when she stepped out of her blonde comfort zone.
Stefani went to the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards with short blue hair. The following year she changed her hair to a hot pink color. Then, in 2000, she went pink and blonde at the same time. By 2001 she had ditched the crazy colors and started her signature look, platinum blonde hair.
