Blake Shelton Called Gwen Stefani's Fashion 'Crap', 'Shaded' By Miranda Lambert At 2019 CMAs
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are, undeniably, among the most popular Hollywood couples today. Despite the never-ending feud and split rumors hounding their relationship, the pair continues to show their critics that they are getting stronger each passing day. However, recently, Blake made headlines again after calling Gwen’s fashion a “crap.”
The “Hollaback Girl” singer nabbed the Fashion Icon Award at the recently concluded 2019 People’s Choice Awards. While Gwen was celebrating her newest achievement, it turns out that her boyfriend was, initially, not a fan of her clothing choices when they first met.
“I taught her well,” Blake Shelton told the Access Hollywood after the 2019 CMA Awards on Wednesday. “I’ve taught Gwen well, you know. When I first met her, I mean, she looked — she dressed like crap. I mean, she just looked like crap,” he went on. The “God Gave Me You” singer, also, claimed that he became Gwen’s personal fashion consultant since they started dating.
Gwen Stefani did not take Blake’s criticisms seriously. Instead, she shared an angry and crying-laughing emojis on her Instagram stories to inform her fans that she found her beau’s statements hilarious. Before she accepted her award, the “Rich Girl” songstress told the entertainment news publication that Blake Shelton has influenced her style.
Meanwhile, Miranda Lambert and husband Brendan McLoughlin, allegedly, shaded Blake Shelton at the CMAs. Reports have it that the couple did not seem to like the “Hell Right” singer’s performance. “Everyone stood up for Blake at the end of his performance except Miranda Lambert and her husband,” a source told Us Weekly. “At the commercial break, they both left their seats,” it went on.
However, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, reportedly, had a different reaction when Miranda took the stage with her “It All Comes Out in the Wash” performance. The couple was said to be dancing and “nodding their heads” as they enjoy the song. Neither of the two couples has commented on these reports.
To recall, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced their split in 2015. Since their divorce, the “God’s Country” singer sparked romance rumors with Gwen Stefani. Miranda, for her part, was exclusively dating Evan Felker at the time.
