Blake Shelton Thinks Gwen Stefani Is 'Delicious', Shares Feelings About Girlfriend Departing 'The Voice'
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton could not get enough of one another – even on air! The couple could not resist poking fun at each other in “The Voice" amid reports claiming that they have been feuding lately. Gwen and Blake have weathered various controversies -- from split rumors to pregnancy and wedding speculations. But, the pair continues to show a strong front until now.
Recently, Blake gushed over Gwen when the country singer saw his ladylove donning a white and pink mini-dress for another round in the American singing competition television series on Nov. 12. HollywoodLife.com shared Blake was “salivating” when he arrived at the studio.
“Look at that. Doesn’t she look like a delicious ball of cotton candy? Delicious,” Blake Shelton told Gwen Stefani when the “Hollaback Girl” singer got out of her car. “I could go further into that but it could get disgusting,” Miranda Lambert’s former husband added as his girlfriend continued walking on.
On the same night, Gwen made fun of Blake after the latter announced on “The Voice” that John Legend was officially given the “People’s Sexiest Man Alive” title. “I’m sorry, Blake,” Gwen said on a clip she posted as her Instagram Story. However, Blake was quick to clarify that he was not upset about it and claimed he was John’s mentor.
“No, this is one of my — what’s the word? Protégé? I took him under my wing,” Blake Shelton told Gwen Stefani in the video. “I taught him how to pull his jacket over to cover his gut. I do it all the time!” he went on.
Meanwhile, Blake expressed his disappointment about the fact that Gwen is not returning for the new installment of “The Voice.” The “God Gave Me You” hitmaker, however, shared he is pretty sure Gwen will return someday.
"I get what has to happen. We're not seeing the last of Gwen on that show by any means," Blake Shelton told Entertainment Tonight during a post-CMA Awards press conference on Thursday in Nashville. “I wouldn't say we've seen the last of anybody who's ever been on that show. They've said from the beginning that once somebody's a coach on The Voice, they're always a part of the family,” he added.
For starters, Nick Jonas will be replacing Gwen Stefani for the upcoming new season. In a recent concert, the “Rich Girl” singer, reportedly, told the audience that she has nothing to do in the decision-making. Gavin Rossdale’s former partner even said she would love to stay if only Nick would not be on “The Voice.”
