Gwyneth Paltrow Pens Sweet Birthday Message For Cameron Diaz: ‘I Adore You’

Gwyneth Paltrow recently penned a sweet birthday tribute to her good friend, Cameron Diaz.

On her Instagram account, Paltrow shared a photo of herself with Diaz and expressed just how much she adores her. Chris Martin’s ex-wife also praised Diaz for her “wisdom, humor, loyalty and cooking skills.” Diaz turned 45 on Aug. 30.

In 2012, the “Bad Teacher” actress explained how she and Paltrow became very close to each other. While speaking with Harper’s Bazaar U.K., she said that she and Paltrow developed a special bond after her dad, Emilio Diaz, passed away in 2008. “She reached out after my dad’s death. It was very sweet. We bonded on that,” she said.

Two years later, Diaz also shared her two cents on Paltrow’s split from Coldplay front man Martin. While speaking with E! News (via the Daily Mail), she said, “For both Chris and Gwyneth, I mean they worked really hard. People want them to blow up and it to be ugly, but they’re kind, generous, loving people who really care about one another. They’ve made a conscious effort to separate the part of their lives they don’t want to live together anymore, and maintain a really beautiful, strong bond as parents and as friends. I think people should really honor that and they should admire it and they should respect it. They’ve done something really extraordinary, and they’ve been very brave at presenting that to the public.”

Last year, Paltrow hosted a star-studded lunch with some of her best friends from the industry, and Diaz was one of those who attended the event. Other celebrities who were also there included Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Richie and Drew Barrymore. Missing at the event was Paltrow’s other best friend, Kate Hudson.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Paltrow shared one of Hudson’s most valuable beauty tips that she shared with her. “Kate was the first person who told me to stick my head in ice water when you wake up and you have to shoot something and you’ve had too much fun the night before. She’s just the most carefree, lively, loving person and I think a lot of her beauty comes from that,” she gushed.
