Earlier, Karasuno High ended the practice match sessions on a high note after pulling off a great victory against Date Tech.

Now, it is time for the Nationals. However, it is not yet revealed if they will have group matches or eliminations. Also, with only a few episodes left, it is highly unlikely that fans will witness a complete match. This season might end on a cliffhanger.

In the last episode, the Karasuno High’s team members started preparing for the Tokyo trip. The juniors visited the shrine to offer New Year prayers. The episode showcased the camaraderie between the third years at the shrine, Kiyoko Shimizu took their case as they continued being themselves.

Kiyoko remarked at the shrine that they will do good in the Nationals. During the episode, Sawamura bumped into Ikejiri. They had a heart-to-heart conversation. Ikejiri asked him if he was nervous about the impending Nationals. Sawamura confessed that he was feeling “super nervous.” He told Sawamura that the team was amazing and he should not be nervous. He realized that he always gets scared but he is not alone in this. Everyone’s counting on them.

On Jan. 4, the team departed for Tokyo. The episode was the perfect slice-of-life kind of episode. Hinata and Tanaka were amazed to see the big city life. Towards the end of the episode, fans were treated with the opening theme of “Haikyuu!!” but with a twist, it was the orchestral version as Karasuno High marched into the stadium during the opening ceremony marking the beginning of the Spring Tournament.
