Halle Berry’s recent injury on the set of her new film “Bruised” hasn’t kept the actress down and out. The film star gave fans an update on her status on social media on Wednesday and thanked everyone for checking up on her while she’s in recovery.

On Instagram, the 53-year-old actress posted, “Thank you to all the folks that have showered me with love since my injury. It’s par for the course when you do your own stunts, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Just know I’m far from tired. I’m wide awake ... and just getting started!”

Berry’s new film shows her playing an MMA fighter and will be the Oscar winner’s directorial debut. When news broke of her injury last week, it was also revealed that production on the project had been postponed. EP Brian Pitt later told NJ Advance Media that filming, which was meant to take place in Newark, New Jersey, on Monday, would be rescheduled and that it was “nothing serious” in regards to her injuries.

“Occasionally what’s going to happen is an actor might get a little injured, and we might adjust scheduling around them a little bit," Pitt told the outlet.

Throughout the production process, Berry has been sharing updates on the film, including the eight months of training she’s gone through. The actress has been training with fitness expert Mubarak Malik in preparation for her role. Last time moviegoers saw the actress getting physical with her role was in this year's “John Wick 3: Chapter 3 -- Parabellum” where she trained for months to do a lot of her stunt work shown in the film.

The upcoming “Bruised” will follow Berry’s character, Jackie Justice, a disgraced MMA fighter who tries to reconnect with her estranged son. Production on the Michelle Rosenfarb-penned film is expected to continue through December. No release date has been given yet for the new movie.
