'Halloween Kills' Star Jamie Lee Curtis Shares 4 Things That Scare Her

Jamie Lee Curtis has shared the four things that scare her the most.

Curtis, 62, has been a staple in horror movies for over four decades already. She has appeared in "The Fog," "Prom Night," "Terror Train" and in the "Halloween" franchise. With "Halloween Kills" only just a few days away from releasing, Curtis spoke with Entertainment Tonight and shared four of her biggest fears. Check them out below.

Horror Movies

Curtis described herself as "brave," but she is not into horror movies because she is "afraid of scary things." According to her, when she was 15, her parents, actors Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, screened the film "The Exorcist." She freaked out over the movie, and it prompted her friends to tease her the following day. Curtis believes that she's good at acting in horror movies because she gives a genuine reaction whenever she's doing a scary scene.

"I loathe being scared by scary movies. I scare so easily. It's the reason that I'm so good at [being in them]. It's a natural response for me," she told EW.

She also joked that no one could pay her to go and watch a horror movie, but they could pay her to be scared.

"Mare Of Easttown"

Curtis watched "Mare of Easttown" because she loves a good mystery. However, she couldn't sustain watching the scary scenes. She admitted to covering her eyes or ears when the scary music would start.

Rage

Aside from the scary things she sees on TV, Curtis fears rage. She cited two of her "Halloween" movies by David Gordon Green and Danny McBride. The first one followed a female character, Laurie Strode (Curtis), the sole survivor of a killing spree who suffered from PTSD while the culprit was institutionalized at a hospital. She eventually decided to reclaim her life. It was released at about the same time as the #MeToo movement but was written before it.

The duo created another movie, "Halloween Kills," which is about rage and it's a sequel to "Halloween." It features people who don't trust the government and authorities, so they decide to do the job themselves. For Curtis, it was similar to what happened during the Capitol attack in January. According to her, the movies scared her because the characters were killing each other.

"Now how the f--- did David Gordon Green and Danny McBride know that the follow-up to trauma was rage?" she said. "So if you ask me what scares me, rage scares me. Unbridled, unrestrained, out-of-your mind rage, that yields mob mentality and mob rule. That scares me."

Night Shoots

Curtis goes to bed early and does not film or work at night. She declines movies with "night" in the title. For her, "night shooting is physically painful."

"Halloween Kills" debuts in theaters and on Peacock on Oct. 15.
