Hanson Release ‘I Was Born’ Music Video Starring Their Children [WATCH]
The Hanson brothers, namely, Isaac, Taylor and Zac, recently dropped the official music video for their latest single, “I Was Born.”
While speaking with People, Zac explained their decision to feature 11 out of their 12 collective children in the clip. “Featuring our own kids made sense because we knew they would share an honest performance. We loved the fact that it added another dimension to the story of pursuing our dreams for the last 25 years,” he said.

In 1997, the band released their hit song, “MMMBop,” which proceeded to top music charts across the world. At the time, the brothers were only 16, 14 and 11. Taylor said that it was only fitting to give their children the chance to experience what it’s like to be in the limelight at such a young age. “From the earliest conversations about this song, we imagined kids featured in the video to elevate the song’s message of unbridled optimism for the future,” he said.
Isaac added that they especially loved the fact that their children were able to showcase their own talents in the music video. “There was a lot of excitement across the board from the kids so we tried to just capture that in each appearance, which cover the gamut of their many personalities. Thankfully for us, they all love the song,” he concluded.
The three-minute music video for “I Was Born” opens with the adorable kids smiling, dancing and lip-synching to their dads’ single. The black and white clip shifts from just showing half body images of the children and the Hanson brothers to full shots of everyone doing their own thing. One of the kids showcased her talents in boxing, and three other children crawled on the ground like members of the military.
Isaac, Taylor and Zac released a slew of songs between 1997 and 2000. The group then took a short break before releasing new tracks in 2004, 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2013. The trio is currently on tour in Europe, and their stops include Germany on June 1, the Netherlands on June 2, Paris in June 5, Switzerland on June 6, Italy on June 7 and Belgium on June 9.
