‘Happy!’ Season 1, Episode 3 Spoilers: Nick Sax Meets Very Bad Santa

Nick Sax comes face to face with his daughter’s kidnapper in the next episode of “Happy!”

According to the synopsis for Season 1, episode 3 of the Syfy series, Nick (Christopher Meloni) teams up with Happy (voiced by Patton Oswalt) to track his daughter Hailey (Bryce Lorenzo).

In the trailer for the episode, Nick brings Happy to a strip club where they try to get information about Hailey’s kidnapper Very Bad Santa (Joseph D. Reitman). Nick has the chance to talk to one of the women working at the club, and the lady tells him that the guy he’s looking for is a “monster.”

But as Nick and Happy look for Hailey, Very Bad Santa coerces information out of Hailey about her dad. Very Bad Santa appears to have become interested in Nick after Hailey unknowingly told her kidnapper in Season 1, episode 2 that her dad is coming to save her. “He’s the strongest man in the world. And fast, he’ll catch you,” Hailey said of Nick during what she thought to be a conversation with another abducted kid. “If you are hiding, he knows where to find you. My dad’s coming. He’s a hero. He’s gonna find Santa and he’s gonna put him in jail forever.”

In the promo photos for the episode, Nick and Very Bad Santa finally meet. But it remains to be seen whether Nick and Happy will be able to save Hailey from the kidnapper at the end of the hour.

Elsewhere in the episode, Merry (Lili Mirojnick) and Amanda (Medina Senghore) make a chilling discovery.

In an interview with Forbes earlier this month, executive producer Brian Taylor said that Season 1, episode 3 is somehow similar to Season 1, episode 7. “The thing is a lot of the insane ideas that we had in the writer’s room somehow all got dumped into episode 7,” Taylor said. “So it feels kind of like... there’s not too much I can really say about it other than it is memorable TV. It’s going to be a very talked about episode. I think they’re all going to be talked about. I think episode 3 actually is arguably, in many ways, just as insane as episode 7 in terms of its tonal shift.”

“Happy!” Season 1, episode 3, titled “When Christmas Was Christmas,” airs on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 10 p.m. EST on Syfy. Watch the trailer for the episode below:
