'Harry Potter' Stars Emma Watson And Tom Felton Had Chemistry While Filming?
Tom Felton played the villainous role of Draco Malfoy in the “Harry Potter” films, but he apparently had good chemistry with Hermione actress Emma Watson. Rupert Grint, who played Ron Wesley, confirmed the good relationship of his two co-stars in a recent interview.
“There was always something. There was a little bit of a spark,” Grint told ET Online about the chemistry between Watson and Felton.
The Ron Wesley actor quickly added that they were all kids back then, and “It was like any kind of playground romance” on the set. While his co-stars seem to have good chemistry, Grint admitted that he didn’t have any sparks while filming.
Grint’s comments come after Watson said in an interview with Vogue magazine that she is currently single. She use the term “self-partnered” to describe her status. The actress added that she is very happy being single.
Felton too echoed his “Harry Potter” co-star’s comments in an interview with Daily Mail. The actor said that he too is “self-partnered,” and praised Watson for being “incredibly smart and lovely.”
“I think in this day and age it’s not a necessity to be with someone just for the sake of being with someone, so I like the idea of self-partnering,” Felton said. The actor explained that it is important for a person to love oneself before thinking about loving someone else.
It has been eight years since the release of the last “Harry Potter” movie. The franchise has continued with the prequel “Fantastic Beasts” movies with Eddie Redmayne playing the lead role of Newt Scamander.
When asked about returning to make new “Harry Potter” movies, Grint said that he and his fellow cast members may not be interested in returning to the franchise any time soon. However, the actor gave the fans some hope for the future when he said “never say never.”
