Chris Pine has nothing but praise for his "Don't Worry Darling" co-star Harry Styles, describing the former One Direction member as one of the most professional celebrities he has ever worked with.
Pine sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight to promote their new movie "Don't Worry Darling," which also stars Florence Pugh, Olivia Wilde and Gemma Chan. He gushed over his co-stars and lauded them for their professionalism.
"Florence is an incredible actress. I can't speak more highly of her. This is the second time I've worked with her and every time I work with her, I say, 'I have to meet your parents, because however they raised you, they should be teaching seminars,'" he told ET.
"Harry Styles is an absolute delight," he continued. "He's one of the most professional people I've ever met. Couldn't be kinder, more gracious, I mean, really, I was stunned by this kid. He's off-the-charts cool. It's a great cast. You know, life is short, so hopefully you get a chance to make good art with people you really enjoy, and I've been really, really lucky in that regard."
"Don't Worry Darling" is a thriller that tells the story of a housewife (Pugh) in the 1950s questioning her utopian neighborhood. Pine said the aesthetic of the movie was beautiful and its story was compelling, fun, dark and twisted.
"Shooting was wonderful. Olivia is very clear about what she wants," he said of Wilde, who is directing the film.
Meanwhile, Pine reprised his role as Steve Trevor in the superhero flick "Wonder Woman 1984." In another interview, he praised co-stars Gal Gadot and Kristen Wiig, saying they "make an awesome duo."
In the film, Diana Prince (Gadot) finds a friend in Dr. Barbara Ann Minerva (Wiig), a name that is pretty familiar to comic book fans. However, she later transforms into The Cheetah and becomes one of Wonder Woman's nemeses.
"People should go out and see this film, rent it at home, enjoy the ever-living daylights out of it, watch it a bunch of times, make some popcorn, get some Milk Duds. This is grandma's chicken soup for 2020. We've had a bad year. This movie's got great romance, it's funnier than hell, it's all sorts of awesome fun," Pine said.
"Wonder Woman 1984" will hit theaters and stream on HBO Max on Christmas Day. It's the first movie on HBO Max that will be available in 4K Ultra HD, HDR 10, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
