HBO Max Content: Over 100 Titles For Movies, TV Shows Streaming May 27
UPDATE: HBO Max debuted Wednesday and surprised users with the entire Harry Potter film collection. The platform is now the only place to stream all eight movies.
Original story: HBO Max is launching with plenty of content. WarnerMedia’s new streaming service will have over 10,000 hours of content at launch, and much of that library is made up of favorite titles, ranging from “Friends” to “Lord of the Rings” to “Casablanca.”
There will be a handful of originals to start, including Paul Feig and Anna Kendrick’s rom-com anthology “Love Life,” Sesame Street spinoff “Not Too Late With Elmo,” and underground ballroom reality competition series “Legendary.”
HBO Max (which is free for some users) will include everything on HBO, such as “Game of Thrones,” “Sex and the City,” “True Blood,” “Watchmen,” “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” and “The Sopranos.” HBO Max is owned by WarnerMedia, so expect favorites from brands like Warner Bros., New Line Cinema, DC, CNN, the Turner library, Crunchyroll, Rooster Teeth and Looney Tunes as well.

The return of “Friends” to streaming has been much-hyped, but fans can also expect other favorites that disappeared from Netflix in recent months. “The West Wing,” “Pretty Little Liars,” “Adam Ruins Everything” and “Gossip Girl” are among the series that will return to streaming on the freshman platform after leaving the giant competitor.
Classic movies seem to be in abundance as well. “The Wizard of Oz,” “Casablanca” and “Citizen Kane” are just a few of the launch day feature films.
Animation fans also have a lot to look forward to. The entire Studio Ghibli film collection, “Adventure Time” and “Aqua Teen Hunger Force” will start streaming alongside classic titles like “The Flintstones,” “The Jetsons” and “The Smurfs.”
