'Hell On Wheels' Season 5: Last Chance For Fans To Win A Trip To The Set
A new video by Omaze shows Anson Mount telling fans that it is their last chance to come on the sets of “Hell on Wheels” Season 5. The charity organization Omaze is organizing the campaign to raise awareness about Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and the winner gets to meet the cast and be a part of the show.
A video posted on the Omaze YouTube channel shows Mount (Cullen Bohannan) on the set of the show, urging fans to participate in the Omaze campaign. The winner of the campaign will get to visit the set along with a friend and meet the cast and crew. The fans will get to ride a horse on the set and get involved in a full day of activities.
The funds raised through the campaign will be used to find a cure for DMD and Mount pointed out that it is a rare disease that affects over 200,000 children around the world. The disease is said to be 100 percent fatal.
The actor shared a personal anecdote about how the children of his friend Terry Marlin have DMD and Mount decide to do something about it when he found out. Marlin and Mount played in the same little league when they were young and they came in contact again after many years, the actor revealed.
A previous video from the sets of “Hell on Wheels” Season 5 showed Mount with assistant director Phil Chipera. Mount described the assistant director as someone who bosses him around all day. The video confirms that the winner of the Omaze campaign will get to be an extra on the show and will also get to sit on the director’s chair and say “action.”
The assistant director also confirmed that the winner will be shot in one of the scenes on the show. Mount later added that he would shoot the contest winner in the chest personally for the scene, to motivate the fans to take part in the campaign.
“Hell on Wheels” Season 5 is the last season of the show and six episodes of the show have already been aired. Eight episodes of the show remain and the next episode is slated to air on Aug. 29.
