Here’s What The ‘Home Alone’ Cast Looks Like Now, 27 Years Later
After 27 years of “Home Alone,” one might think that viewers would get tired of watching it every holiday season, but that’s not even close to being the case. The fun family flick is one that never gets old, despite the fact that its cast gets older every year, as humans do.
This year, after watching the iconic movie, take a second to see what that cast is up to now, after almost 30 years.
Macaulay Culkin (Kevin McCallister)
Culkin was only 10 years old when the classic Christmastime flick premiered in 1990. Though he’d already been in a few shows and movies by then, this was his real breakout moment, building on the momentum he had after starring in “Uncle Buck” in 1989. After these two movies, Culkin became the ultimate child actor, going on to star in the “Home Alone” sequel in 1992, the family comedy “Getting Even with Dad” and the fun film “Richie Rich,” both in 1994.
After that, the actor decided to take a bit of time off, with his next role not coming until nine years later in a film called “Party Monster” with Seth Green. Culkin also had a guest role in “Will & Grace” that same year. From there, his acting was a bit scattered, taking on movie and TV show roles here and there, but he wasn’t working as consistently as he was when he was younger. He’s currently working on a new project with Seth Green, “Changeland,” which is also set to star Brenda Song.
Joe Pesci (Harry)
The release year of this film was a good one for Pesci. Not only did he star in “Home Alone,” but he also had the classic film “Goodfellas” come out the same year. The great projects just kept coming for Pesci from there, as his movies “My Cousin Vinny,” “Lethal Weapon” and “Home Alone 2” came out in 1992, while “A Bronx Tale” came out the following year and then his drama “Casino” with Robert De Niro was released in 1995.
Despite acting in many hit movies in the 90s, Pesci had an eight-year hiatus between his 1998 film “Lethal Weapon 4” and his 2006 movie “The Good Shepherd” with Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie. Currently, Pesci is filming the crime-drama “The Irishman” with Al Pacino and De Niro.
Daniel Stern (Marv)
Hot on the heels of “Home Alone,” Stern starred in “City Slickers” with Billy Crystal in 1991 and acted in a couple of other films all while narrating the series “The Wonder Years” for over 100 episodes from 1988 to 1993. After that, he was in the “City Slickers” sequel and had a few TV guest spots before landing the lead in the animated series “Dilbert” in 1999. His early 2000s was spent filming for various other TV shows, then his mid-2000s were full of movies like “The Last Time” in 2006 and “Whip It” in 2009.
Most recently, he had a role in the Netflix series “Love,” and he’s currently working on the comedy-horror TV movie “Captain Karl's Institute for the Abnormally Bizarre” for 2018.
