Herman Cain Has an 'Oops' Moment on Libya (Video)
Herman Cain, the Republican Presidential runner, had another 'oops' moment. This time he was interviewed by the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and was asked, “So you agreed with President Obama on Libya, or not?”
“Okay, Libya,” he says. Long pause. “President Obama.” Another pause. “Supported.” Yet another pause. “The uprising, correct? President Obama called for the removal of Qaddafi. Just want to make sure we’re talking about the same thing before I say, yes I agreed or no I didn’t agree. Um, I do not agree with the way he handled it for the following reason. Um. Nope, that’s a different one. Um.” Pauses, adjusts chair, adjusts jacket. “I got to go back, see, uh,” pause, “got all this stuff twirling around in my head. Um. Specifically, what did you ask me did I agree or not disagree with Obama?”
He later said, “I would have done a better job of determining who the opposition is. . . . No, I did not agree with Qaddafi killing his citizens, absolutely not. . . . I would have gone about assessing the situation differently, which might have caused us to end up at the same place, but . . .”
His answer, which was videotaped, went viral online and on cable TV almost immediately. This has come in the wake of Cain trying to regain momentum after several allegations of sexual harassment.
