A high school in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin, was evacuated Thursday after a student wore a Star Wars costume to school in observance of May 4, popularly known as "Star Wars Day." The Ashwaubenon High School student was reportedly dressed as a Stormtrooper for May the Fourth.

Officials said that Ashwaubenon Public Safety (APS) investigated a threat at the high school, which was evacuated for "a short time" before returning back to class. Parkview Middle School and the Ashwaubenon community center, where some students were taking placement tests, were temporarily placed on lockdown.

APS added that there "was no actual threat at the high school" and that "a student came to school wearing a Star Wars costume with a mask."

ABC affiliate WBAY reported Thursday that a concerned parent called the police after seeing the student in costume and believing he or she to be wearing "ballistic-type vest." The school reportedly has a no-costume policy, which would be reiterated to students following Thursday’s event.

"This morning (5/4) we had a possible threat at Ashwaubenon High School," said the Ashwaubenon School District in a statement on Facebook. "Ashwaubenon Public Safety was called and we evacuated the High School. … Public Safety did a sweep through the High School. The situation has been resolved — there was no threat."
