The 83rd Annual Academy Awards took place Sunday night. All of Hollywood's biggest stars gathered at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles to honor the best films of the year. Natalie Portman took home the award for Best Actress for her role in Black Swan, while Colin Firth won Best Actor for his performance in The King's Speech. The Oscar for Best Picture was awarded to The King's Speech. The show really started though much earlier than 8 p.m. as the red carpet fashion is a huge part of the night. Red and purple were common colors worn by many actresses including host Anne Hathaway, Sandra Bullock and Mila Kunis.
