“Home Alone” star Devin Ratray has denied strangling his girlfriend following his domestic violence arrest on Wednesday in Oklahoma City.

The 44-year-old actor was charged with a count of domestic assault and battery and one count of domestic assault and battery by strangulation.

The alleged incident occurred on Dec. 8 while Ratray was in town to make an appearance at a Pop Christmas Con event. The actor’s girlfriend told the police the two got into an argument at a bar, and she returned to their hotel room.

According to the affidavit, Ratray came back to the room, pushed his girlfriend onto the bed, placed one hand over her mouth, and used the other to press against her throat.

“[The] victim had trouble breathing while she was being strangled and while the defendant’s hand was over her mouth,” the probable cause affidavit stated.

Ratray’s lawyer Scott Adams has since denied the allegations made against his client. “Mr. Ratray denies he ever laid a hand on her or did anything in regards to anything like that,” Adams said in a statement.

Adams stated Ratray admitted to getting “into a disagreement” with his girlfriend. However, he claimed the victim “changed her story from they had a disagreement or an argument to all of a sudden he strangled her.”

Although Ratray wasn’t arrested immediately following the incident, on Tuesday, a warrant for his arrest was issued. Ratray turned himself in the following day and then posted the $25,000 bond.

Ratray, who is known for his character Buzz McCallister in the Christmas classic movies, reprised his role in the new Disney+ movie “Home Sweet Home Alone.”
