Honey Boo Boo, Boyfriend Dralin Carswell Spotted Holding Hands During Outdoor Stroll

Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson's relationship with her boyfriend Dralin Carswell is going strong.

On Tuesday, the "Toddlers & Tiaras" alum, 16, and Carswell, 20, were spotted holding hands as they went on a stroll near her home in McIntyre, Georgia. The couple seemed smitten and were all smiles as paparazzi snapped photos of their date.

In photos published by Page Six, Thompson and her beau wore coordinated black and white outfits for the outing. They both sported black T-shirts and shorts, which they paired with white sneakers.

The couple showed some sweet PDA during the outing. Thompson and Carswell were photographed giggling and playfully posing behind a tree.

They also snacked on some frozen ice from the local Frozen Frog store, with one snap showing Carswell giving his girlfriend a taste of the treat he ordered.

Thompson made her relationship with Carswell Instagram official in September 2021 after almost six months of dating. She shared photos of them smiling and holding hands as they posed in matching gray T-shirts at a pumpkin patch.

The reality star revealed her endearment for him by adding the word "bae" to the snap. "Spooky season," she captioned the since-deleted photo.

June "Mama June" Shannon's youngest daughter later deleted the post after it sparked backlash over the couple's four-year age gap, with fans raising concerns about the teenager dating a 20-year-old man.

"Honey Boo Boo is less than 6 months older than me (15) and she has a 20-year-old boyfriend?" tweeted one person at the time. "[It] doesn't sit right with me."

"Honey Boo Boo's new boyfriend is 20?? Girl is 16," a second Twitter user noted. "Jail. Jail jail jail."

Thompson and her beau live in Georgia, where the age of consent is 16.

While some fans questioned Thompson's decision to date a college student, others were supportive of her choice. "Good for her. She looks adorable," one person tweeted.

Thompson's family also appears to have no issues with her dating Carswell. Her older sister and guardian, Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon-Efird, 22, said they approve of her boyfriend.

"She does have a little boyfriend who, like, comes over and stuff, like, he comes over for dinners and stuff, he's very respectful. Everyone approves of him," Shannon-Efird previously told Entertainment Tonight.

Thompson's fans will see more of her and her boyfriend soon as Carswell is making his TV debut in the upcoming season of "Mama June: Road to Redemption." The recently released official trailer featured some of the couple's sweet moments in front of the camera.
