Honey Boo Boo’s Mother Mama June Finally Updates Instagram After Scandalous Arrest
Mama June Shannon has broken her silence — at least on Instagram — more than a month after getting arrested with boyfriend Geno Doak for drug-related charges.
In celebration of Easter Sunday, the “Mama June: From Not To Hot” titular star posted a throwback clip of the time she made a guest appearance on “The Wendy Williams Show” to show off her special spaghetti recipe.
The guesting of the reality star on the talk show was a bit awkward based on the video clip, since Mama June used a finger to taste the sauce she made before offering the sauce to Wendy. But in the end, the host was surprised and delighted after tasting Mama June’s recipe.
Her appearance on the show may be special to Mama June, for she decided to share it once again over the weekend. She also asked her fans online if they remember the episode and she wished them a “nice Easter.”
Mama June’s post is the first she made after her highly publicized arrest in an Alabama gas station with Geno on March 13, two days before the third season of her TV show premiered. For more than a month since the controversy, Mama June opted to be on the down low by skipping promotional interviews and not updating her social media accounts.
While Mama June was distancing from the press and the media, Pumpkin filled in for her by doing the interviews with Alana and by issuing statements and updates about their family at the start of the show’s weekly episodes.
It wasn’t just Mama June who updated her social media on Easter Sunday. Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson also greeted her fans on the special day and shared a few snaps of herself, sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and the latter’s daughter, baby Ella.
“Happy Easter! … to the best fans everrrr ! I hope you guys & girls had an amazing day ! I also wanna say thank you so much for 353k [followers] I’m so thankful for each and every one of you and I just wanna thank you because you make me who I am,” the 13-year-old reality star wrote.
