Chrishell Stause is putting the past behind her after finally finding closure from her previous marriage and split from ex-husband Justin Hartley.
In "Selling Sunset" Season 4, which was released on Netflix Wednesday, the 40-year-old celebrity real estate agent shared her thoughts about the news that Hartley had married his former "Young and the Restless" co-star Sofia Pernas.
While out at a restaurant with friends Mary Fitzgerald and Heather Rae Young, Stause was asked if she'd heard the "This Is Us" star's news.
"I feel like the world heard that," she told her colleagues.
Stause later said in a confessional, "My ex-husband, Justin, is remarried to someone I know from back in the day pretty well. And a lot of things made sense after finding that out. I wish them the best. You know, I think that it actually, if anything, it felt good to know that. It felt like a little bit of closure," according to Us Weekly.
Stause tied the knot with Hartley in 2017 after four years together. Stause admitted she felt "blindsided," however, when he abruptly filed for divorce in November 2019. Her heartbreak was chronicled throughout "Selling Sunset" Season 3.
Hartley was first romantically linked to Pernas in June last year, and they got married in May. The couple worked together for nearly one year on "The Young and the Restless" in 2015. Stause also appeared on the soap opera alongside the pair.
In the new season of "Selling Sunset," Stause told Young and Fitzgerald that she's finally in a great place in her career and is not only selling houses but also shopping for one herself.
Stause also revealed that she feels "empowered" and is "a better version of myself than I ever have been."
"And I feel like I’ve found my voice. There’s no anger left there because now I’ve realized that’s not something I wanted for myself," Stause said. "I mean, if he wants to have 50 wives, go live your best life because I really feel like I am. ... Once you know something wasn’t right, whether it was your decision or not, now, you are where you're meant to be."
She added, "Out with the old, in with the new."
Stause briefly dated "Dancing With the Stars" pro Keo Motsepe, 32, before finding love with her "Selling Sunset" co-star and boss at The Oppenheim Group, Jason Oppenheim, 44.
The couple made their relationship Instagram official in August, but they had been dating for two months before making the announcement.
Stause previously said in an interview with E! News' "Daily Pop" that she and Oppenheim did their best to keep their romance private until people around them started noticing the change in their relationship.
She also revealed that they only decided to make it public when they were sure about the relationship. "We made it to a point where we're really happy to share it because we knew exactly what it was, so it's all good," Stause said.
"Selling Sunset" Season 4 is now streaming on Netflix.
