Alex Rodriguez wasn't bothered by Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's engagement.

Rodriguez, 46, found himself on the receiving end of some teasing from sports broadcaster Michael Kay during the Sunday Night Baseball broadcast on ESPN 2. The pair were discussing the Yankees vs. Red Sox game when Kay subtly mentioned Affleck and Lopez's second engagement.

"It's a great time in sports," Kay, 61, was quoted by Us Weekly as saying. "You have a new Masters champion, NBA playoffs are about to start, baseball is in full swing, people getting engaged. I mean, it's a happy time in the world."

The former baseball player laughed in response. "Happiness and world peace is what we're looking for," he added.

Rodriguez sat in silence for a few seconds before changing the subject back to the game. Kay joked about Lopez's engagement just two days after the "Marry Me" actress confirmed that she said "yes" to Affleck's proposal for the second time.

The "Let's Get Loud" singer announced her new relationship milestone with the "Batman" actor via her On The J.Lo newsletter Friday, less than a year after they rekindled their romance. The pair got back together in May 2021, just weeks after she called off her two-year engagement to Rodriguez.

"You're perfect," Lopez whispered in a brief clip while flaunting a massive green sparkler on her left ring finger.

Rodriguez and Lopez started dating in 2017 and got engaged in 2019. They were supposed to tie the knot in 2020 but pushed it back due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following the changes in their wedding plans, Lopez admitted during her appearance on SiriusXM's "Radio Andy" that it came to a point when they asked themselves if they still wanted to get married since both had been married before.

"We've talked about that for sure. I mean, at our age, we've both been married before, it's like, do we get married? Do we not? What does it mean for us?" Lopez told host Andy Cohen in December 2020.

"It was really sad because we were supposed to get married in June and we had planned it all. So in March or April, we're looking down the pipe, and we're going, 'This is maybe not going to happen.' Italy's the worst place in the world. And we were going to get married in Italy. It was, yeah, it was like, I was like, 'OK, we got to cancel everything.'"

Lopez was previously married to actor Ojani Noa (1997-1998), choreographer Cris Judd (2001-2003), and Marc Anthony (2004-2014). Anthony and Lopez share 14-year-old twins, Emme and Max. Meanwhile, Rodriguez was previously married to Cynthia Scurtis from 2002 to 2008. They share two daughters Natasha, 17, and Ella, 13.

In April 2020, Lopez and Rodriguez called off their engagement saying, "We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so." They already split in March of the same year but got back together after a day before calling it quits for good.

An unnamed source told People that Affleck and Lopez are contented with being engaged and haven't talked about their wedding plans yet. The pair reportedly wanted to be sure so they "will not rush a wedding."
