How Evanna Lynch And Keo Motsepe Can Win Season 27 Of ‘DWTS’
They’ve emerged as legitimate front-runners in recent weeks of Season 27 of “Dancing With the Stars,” and there is a good chance that Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe could find themselves crowned as the newest Mirrorball champions of the show’s upcoming finale.
After a rough start and a few stumbles, Team Kevanna began to prove that they deserved to still be in the competition with flawless routines that impressed both the judges and the viewers at home. While this season has been largely unpredictable, and they could be facing a lot of tough competition in the finals, there are reasons to believe that Evanna and Keo could still manage a win.
Pros
Evanna Has Steadily Improved All Season
At its core, “Dancing With the Stars” is a show about watching celebrities who don’t really have much (or any) prior dance experience transforming into real performers by the end of the season. If anyone in the finals has done that the most this season, it’s Evanna. After starting things off in Week 1 with a Foxtrot that earned her a 5 from Len, she proved she’s put in the work and perfected her art, later earning a 9 from him during her redemption routine. All of her dances have been artistic and graceful, and she peaked at just the right time. That’s a good sign going into a final where anyone can take it.
She Has A Good Size Fan Base
Evanna certainly doesn’t come from a small fan base that’s a little too niche. The “Harry Potter” movies were a worldwide phenomenon, and her face is one that’s recognizable. There’s a solid chance that her fans have been casting spells all season to earn her votes, and there’s no reason they would seem to stop now.
This Is Keo’s First Ever Trip To The Finals
Keo hasn’t just never won a Mirrorball trophy. He’s never yet made it to the finals at all. This is the furthest he’s ever made it in the competition as a whole despite this being his ninth time appearing as a pro, and more often than not, he and his partners were eliminated within the first 3 weeks of the competition. His fans are likely to reward his massive achievement and will want to give him the Mirrorball they feel he deserves.
Cons
They’ve Been In Jeopardy Before
Unfortunately for Evanna and Keo, their time on the show hasn’t always been smooth. In fact, they’ve fallen victim to being in the dreaded state of “In jeopardy” twice before. While it doesn’t mean they’ve been among the bottom two teams, it doesn’t mean that they always have the strongest fanbase either.
Milo And Witney Have Higher Average Scores
As a whole, Evanna and Keo have performed well, especially in recent weeks. However, of the final four, they are still, on average, scoring lower than the seemingly more obvious front-runner, Milo Manheim. While they are only separated by a single point with 27.1 and 26.1 respectively as their averages, any advantage can help in the finals, and that’s a big one for Milo and Witney to have.
Keo Is Untested This Far In The Competition
While it’s great that Keo has finally made it to the finals, this is a foreign place for him to be as a pro. There is a lot of pressure with this level of competition, especially with the freestyle round, and his experience hasn’t lent him much ability to prove himself at this level. While he’s been doing well so far with her choreographing Evanna’s routines and giving her a chance to shine, this will be his ultimate test.
The “Dancing With the Stars” Season 25 finale airs Monday, Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
