'How To Get Away With Murder' Season 2 Spoilers: Katie Findlay Tweets From Set; How Will Rebecca Return?
“How to Get Away With Murder” Season 2 is filming, and that means spoilers are leaking from the set. Actress Katie Findlay may have revealed a big spoiler simply by tweeting that she was on the set.
Findlay’s character Rebecca was killed in the “How to Get Away With Murder” Season 1 finale. Annalise (Viola Davis) and Frank (Charlie Weber) lied to Wes (Alfred Enoch) and the students and claimed that Rebecca had made a run for it. The last moments of the finale showed Rebecca’s dead body hidden under the stairs, and neither Frank nor Annalise knew who killed her.
So how is Findlay still on “HTGAWM” if her character died? We have a few theories:
1. Hallucination – Wes is not doing well after killing Sam. He seemed to be going mad and even broke down crying in Annalise’s lap in the finale. His mental state could become even more unstable, and he might start having visions of his dead girlfriend.
2. She Survived – Perhaps her pulse was just barely there. It’s not like Frank and Annalise had a lot of time to check for signs of life before hiding her body under the stairs. When audiences last saw Rebecca, she texted someone: “Eggs 911. Lawyers house.” Perhaps this person could have saved her or helped her fake her death?
3. Flashback – It seemed like the show was all done with flashbacks after Lila’s murder was revealed, but perhaps they aren’t done with looks into the past just yet.
This seems like the most likely option. Creator Pete Nowalk revealed that the show would continue to use glimpses of the past and the future. “There’s no rules to our show, which is great,” Nowalk told the Hollywood Reporter in May. “We can flash back, we can flash forward, we can just tell a story linearly. I want to keep it fresh.”
“How to Get Away With Murder” Season 2 premieres Thursday, Sept. 24 at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC. How do you think Rebecca will appear? Sound off in the comments section below!
